In Jentz's VK-4502 to Tiger II in the section on abandoned designs, he talks about rejected proposals for a rounded Tiger-2 turret.

These proposals numbered 1 AKF 31510 and 1 AKF 31511 would be a forged armour body, dispensing with the protrusion at the rear.

Very little is written about these proposals, but I get the impression that they should've looked like a merger between the Tiger-E and Tiger-B turrets.

Does anyone have any additional info?
