I was surprised to learn than not even 1 Tiger tank was lost during the Prokhorovka tank battle according to microfilm at the US National Archives:

89 PzVI 's(Tiger tank) were on-hand to the entire southern Front, Kursk, 4th July 1943.

Day (PzVI - Destroyed and Abandonded) 4 0 5 2 6 1 7 1 8 1 9 0 10 0 11 0 12 0 13 0 14 1 15 0 16 1 17 1 18 0

Total losses from 4-18th July: 8 PzVI.

Broken down. LSSAH PzGrD (SS Leibstandarte) 1 loss, 5th July LSSAH PzGrD (Totenkopf SS) 1 loss, 5th July 3rd Panzer Corps - 3 lost, 14 July DR SS PzGrD (Das Reich) 1 loss, 8th July UNATTACHED - 2 losses.16-17 July.

Well, the myth of Prochorovoka as an engagement of fleets of Tigers & T34s has been extensively debunked already. It was, like most of Kursk, an infantry/artillery battle with some tanks in attendance. Glantzs 'The Battle of Kursk' gives a fairly modern detailed treatment.

Cheers
